So I worked out TWICE yesterday. Did TKB at 5:30 and then yoga at 7. SOOO SORE!! but its the good kind of sore. Just wish I could shake off this really sleepy feeling.
After yoga last night, the group went to Cafe Panini for dinner. I had a wonderful mediterranean salmon salad - warm poached salmon over a delicious mix of bitter greens, briny kalamata olives and creamy, crumbly feta. Incredible. But one of the gals in the group decided not to eat because she was concerned over her weight. She looked absolutely fine - in fact, I think she's really pretty - with an all American appeal like a model for Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger. Unfortunately, she (like me), has a tendency to gain weight easily. But if you just looked at her - you wouldn't even notice she was slightly overweight.
Another girl (a naturally skinny girl) in the group decided not to eat as well because she had a full meal of chicken curry over rice, potatoes and other leftovers right before yoga.
Here's my beef with naturally skinny people. Because they're skinny, they feel that they can (or should) provide advice about diet and exercise because they're skinny.
For people who have never experienced a weight problem, eating is a non-issue. Issues with food are absolute, clear and contained. They have ABSOULUTELY no concept of the all the underlying social, psychological issues with food.
So, of course, the naturally skinny girl was bombarding the not-so-skinny one ignorant advice at the table in front of everyone in the group "You should only eat when you're hungry." And, of course, this open the floodgates of more unwarranted advice from others in the group.
Unfortunately, I was tired and did not have enough energy to tell the naturally skinny one to leave the other girl alone. It's embarrassing to have your weight problem aired out over dinner. If she wanted advice about food, diet, love..she'd ask for it.
