exhausted...

Presentations are always exhausting to me. I have no idea how professional presenters do it. Maybe they are so used to their material that they can just do it without really thinking about it. But to inform (and even educate)a group is exhausting - the practice and prep time. Maybe over time it will be second nature, but for now - I just want to nap.

Anyway, I weighed myself this morning. After my five mile run yesterday and almost flawless eating, I am still 132.8. How!? Why!? And right now I'm supposedly hyperthyroid - so the pounds should just shed like water! God save me when I become hypothyroid! I'll be big as a house!

I hope this is okay with my "trainer" but I really don't want to weigh myself everyday. I've been living and dying by that stupid scale. However, I will continue to stick with the diet and weigh myself maybe 2-3 times a week instead of everyday or twice a day.

It's been raining the last week and I love it. The days between the storms have been perfect for running - slightly overcast, clean and crisp air and cool temps. I was lucky enough today to get two miles in before it started raining. This time I was able to jog and sprint most of the time. I pushed myself harder to run knowing that this would probably be the only day to do so until after the storms.

As far as eating, I almost had a lapse last night at the Thai restaurant. The smell of Thai food, especially curry, made me really miss rice and noodles. But, fortunately, D stopped me from a potential slip up and I ended up eating mostly satay, omelette and the angus beef salad (which was awesome).

I think I'm hitting the same restless period I experienced after my phase I period of South Beach. Worst of all, my physician said yesterday that my metabolism will start to slow tremendously soon because of the radioactive treatment. He added that I would most likely start gaining weight. LOL, I can't imagine my metabolism being slower than it already is...but I guess we'll just have to see.

carb-schmarb

It's been a day and two weeks since I started the TNT program. Overall I've lost about 10 lbs. My weight this morning was 131.3 -- less than yesterday but a pound more than a couple days ago. I'm really hoping that the weight loss continues. This is, unfortunately, where I started to plateau during South Beach.

Anyway, I'm still a little tired and SORE from yesterday's yoga lesson which was an hour and 40 mins. My yoga friend really pushed us and made us do several rounds of vinyasa flow. Those chaturangas (low, hovering push-up in plank position) killed!

bizarre

I weighed myself this morning and discovered that I was 130.6 lbs. This was a suprise since I didn't work out yesterday and ate at least 12 almonds and a ton of
salami (that had some carbs), steak and chicken. And, because I was feeling a little phlemgmy, I didn't really workout. I did about 20 lunges and called it a night.

I know it may seem that this would be liscense to me to not workout and eat more, but I am not curious to see how far this diet can take me in changing my body and eating habits. I can see other physiological changes - I am sleeping more, my face is clearing up and I feel more consistent energy.

One a complete seperate topic - turbo chicken is so awesome not to mention easy! The meat was moist and the skin crispy. I also loved the sauce that J sent to me! YUM-O!

TNT Diet

It's amazing how much bigger you can get in just a matter of days. A week of straight overindulging has resulted in five extra pounds and an additional pant size. YIKES! I haven't been this big in almost a year.

I am so grateful to have such a supportive husband. Because of my sudden weight-gain, I haven't been in the best mood. He reassures and encourages me when I need it the most and supports me by going on the same food program. First, it was NutriSystem and now he's going on the TNT diet with me (well a variation of the TNT diet because he's trying to finish up the NutriStystem food for me).

Anyway, here are my stats. I can't wait to see what happens in the next 12 weeks. Thanks YoungVeezy for your help, advice and accountability!

Weight: 141 lbs.
I still need to do my measurements

Breakfast

Protein shake with instant coffee, cream and water
Two egg omlette with cheese
